Laser Safety Training – Laser Tattoo Removal Training

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Laser safety training is an important element of New Look Laser College’s laser tattoo removal training course. The lasers that are used for laser tattoo removal are Class 4 lasers meaning that they have both direct and reflected radiation hazards.

Why is laser safety training important? Tattoo removal lasers are powerful devices that can injure practitioners, patients, and bystanders. Common injuries associated with lasers include: eye injury, skin injury, electrical injury, accidents associated with laser malfunction, exposure that doesn’t lead to direct hard, and fire.

Our next laser college blog posts will go through the 4 classes of laser and describe features and examples of each.

Guaranteed Hands-on Laser Tattoo Removal Training

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

When you are considering what laser college to attend for laser tattoo removal training, consider the issue of hands-on training. There are two major elements of any training course – the conceptual/didactic portion and the hands-on portion where you actually get to use the laser on real patients. You cannot be an effect laser tattoo removal practitioner without having both. However, many tattoo removal training programs will leave out complete the hands-on portion.

New Look Laser College guarantees our students that they’ll be able to perform 10 hands-on procedures with real patients. You’ll walk away from our course knowing how lasers and the skin works, and you’ll have your technique with patients figured out. There is no need to spend thousands of dollars on a laser training course and not have the sort of experience you’ll need to treat your first patient.

New Look Laser College offers a training course that will allow our students to pursue a successful career in laser tattoo removal. Some of our students taking our laser training course in order to set up their own laser tattoo removal clinic. Others are seeking to enhance their career opportunities at their current place of employment. Still others are looking to change fields and learn the skills to be a certified laser specialist.

If you have questions about our training course and how it can enhance your career opportunities, please contact New Look Laser College at 713.783.2000

Future tattoo removal laser efforts

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

One of the major areas of research in laser tattoo removal is developing lasers that have even shorter pulses. These lasers would potentially replace nanosecond tattoo removal lasers with picosecond or even femtosecond lasers. Here’s why this is important:

Give equal energy input, the shorter the treatment pulse the more efficient a treatment can be offered. Research has found that the optimal pulse duration for fragmenting tattoo particles is 10 picoseconds to 100 picoseconds. A shorter pulse duration can limit the collateral damage causes by tattoo removal lasers.

Lasers used for tattoo removal have evolved significantly from continuous wave, millisecond pulse to now nanosecond pulse widths (generally between 5nm to 10ns).

In the laser physics discussion of our laser tattoo removal training course we explore these concepts in great depth for our laser training students.

Additional websites for New Look Laser College

Our laser training program has its main site at http://www.NewLookLaserCollege.com This is the main site for our tattoo removal training program and has everything that our potential students need to know about our program. Of course, they can call us Monday through Friday 10am-7pm here at the college by dialing 713-783-2000. We also are setting up several other laser training websites. They aren’t nearly complete, but one of them deals with tattoo removal training, another with tattoo removal school, and finally another with tattoo removal education. If you are interesting in going to our laser school to receive the most complete education and training in laser tattoo removal, please contact New Look Laser College at 713-783-2000

The Science of Laser Tattoo Removal

Monday, November 24th, 2008

In our training course here at New Look Laser College we go in-depth on how laser tattoo removal works. Our laser tattoo removal training course is designed for students of all backgrounds. But, whether you are a PhD in physics or if school wasn’t something you have extremely fond memories of (or both) we’ll be able to teach you everything you’ll need to know about how lasers work in general, how tattoo removal lasers function, and how to explain to your patients this information.

In our laser training course, we’ll introduce you to things as simple as “what is light”, things as complex-sounding as the “Theory of Selective Photothermolysis” and everything in between. Most patients will want to know how the laser works and what side effects and results they’ll experience. We’ll stock your intellectual arsenal with enough tools to answer those questions.
