Which Tattoo Removal Lasers for my Tattoo Removal Clinic?

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

Some people call New Look Laser College asking for advice on which tattoo removal laser to buy for their tattoo removal clinic. We are happy to share our thoughts on this important decision. We’d love for these people to attend our course, but we are happy to give information about laser tattoo removal to anyone who asks! Tattoo removal is our passion and we are happy to share what we’ve found out over the years.

The chief instructor of New Look Laser College can speak to a range of tattoo removal lasers, including the Astanza Trinity and Astanza Duality, Cynosure Affinity QS, Hoya ConBio Medlite C6 and RevLite, Palomar Q-YAG-5, Chinese-made lasers, used tattoo removal lasers, and many others. Please call New Look Laser College, the leader in laser tattoo removal training with your questions about tattoo removal lasers. We will be happy to discuss this with you!

New Look Laser College’s laser

Students often call and ask us what laser we use for laser tattoo removal training. We are proud to use Astanza Laser’s Trinity and Duality tattoo removal lasers. These systems are both q-switched systems, with the Trinity being the only Nd:YAG and Ruby tattoo removal lasers available in the United States. The Duality is a very effective Nd:YAG system with the traditional 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths needed to remove most tattoos.

The Affinity QS and Medlite C6/RevLite are less capable machines, but reasonable effective at removing tattoos. They put the same amount of energy through the handpiece, use the same wavelengths produced in the same way, and are used exclusively for tattoo removal (and a few dermatological procedures for removing other kinds of pigment in the skin). The Medlite C6 does have a more attractive beam profile (top-hat/flat-top) compared to the Affinity QS (gaussian beam profile), but is somewhat cumbersome to operate.
