New Look Laser College, the only course specializing in laser tattoo removal will begin demonstrating how to safely and effectively use the DESCRIBE® PFD Patch during its courses offered in the United States. The use by New Look Laser College of theDESCRIBE® PFD Patch during training courses is based upon Astanza Laser, the owner of New Look Laser College becoming an official distributor of the DESCRIBE® PFD Patch.

Through their efforts to improve the removal of unwanted ink, Astanza has entered into a distribution arrangement with Merz North America, Inc. to provide this innovative technology to its clients that promotes faster ink clearance, better laser access to the ink, and safer treatment compared to tattoo removal without the Patch.

“For the past ten years, Astanza’s commitment to our clients’ success has made us a worldwide leader in laser tattoo removal,” said David Murrell, President of Astanza. “Being the only laser manufacturer or laser distributor authorized to sell the DESCRIBE® PFD Patch in the United States solidifies that commitment within the laser tattoo removal industry and illustrates how dedicated we are to bringing forth the best approach and results for this procedure.”

The DESCRIBE® PFD Patch is a single-use, square-shaped, silicone patch that is saturated with perfluorodecalin (PFD). This liquid optical clearing agent resolves the immediate frosting or whitening reaction produced by a laser, allowing multiple laser passes during a treatment. Compared to treatments without the PFD Patch, practitioners can perform up to four laser passes during a laser session as opposed to the standard single pass treatment.

The silicone Patch itself provides many benefits on its own. Acting as a physical barrier, the silicone protects the skin from thermal injury by absorbing heat from the laser. Together, the perfluorodecalin and silicone Patch create a safer, more effective solution for generating faster fading and ink removal compared to tattoo removal without the Patch.

“Clients have already begun to purchase monthly subscription packages whereby a box or two are delivered each month to help meet the high demand expected for this new technology,” said Murrell. “Both patients and practitioners are sure to be impressed by the results of this revolutionary accessory.”

The DESCRIBE® PFD Patch is available only through licensed physicians and can be ordered on the Astanza website at https://astanzalaser.com/product/describe-pfd-patch/
