Dallas Laser Hair Removal Certifications and Training
Join New Look Laser College’s laser hair removal training course, partnered with Ann Webb Skin Institute, to get your Laser Hair Removal Apprentice or Technician license – provided by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Located in our Dallas, TX, headquarters, this laser hair removal training course is three to four days (depending on your desired license). Our trained specialists explain the different types of laser hair removal technology and share in-depth knowledge on laser physics, laser safety, and how to maintain a laser hair removal device. For Technician licenses, individuals will go through a day of hands-on practicum to complete the 100-body site requirement.
*NOTE: Students will be required to get a CPR certificate before coming to our laser hair removal course.
Laser Hair Removal Training Course Curriculum
Laser Hair Removal Technology:
Understand the difference between all laser hair removal technologies, such as Alexandrite, Nd:YAG, IPL, and diode laser hair removal devices. Learn how each one performs, which one provides the best results, and how they interact with different skin types.
Laser Physics:
- How lasers work
- Proper wavelengths for laser hair removal
- The hair growth cycle and best time to provide laser hair removal treatment
Laser Hair Removal Device Safety:
- Laser safety best practices, choosing the correct safety goggles, and how to protect yourself and patients from laser exposure
- Types of laser risks and injuries, review of regulations, and standard practices for clinical operations
- Hands-on safety instruction – using a diode hair removal device to treat different patients
Fitzpatrick Skin Typing & Skin Reactions:
- Learn to distinguish each skin type (Fitzpatrick scale I – VI) and how to treat them
- Review different skin reactions to laser exposure and the protocols for each one
Treatment and Post-Treatment Protocols:
- Recommended protocols for treating patients with a laser hair removal device
- Proper bedside manner and answering patient questions
- Post-treatment care, how to instruct aftercare to patients
Certifications and Licenses for Laser Hair Removal
- Laser Hair Removal Apprentice: 40-hour training certificate (license provided by TDLR)
- Laser Hair Removal Technician: 40-hour training certificate with hands-on practicum (license provided by TDLR)
- Laser Hair Removal Technician + Laser Tattoo Removal Practitioner: 40-hour training certificate with hands-on practicum (laser hair removal license provided by TDLR). Advanced Laser Tattoo Removal, Certified Laser Specialist, and Laser Safety Officer certificates provided by New Look Laser College.

I couldn’t have better things to say about New Look Laser College and Astanza Laser. As a state agency, we need to make sure that the products and training we receive are the best value available. I recently completed a 2-day training provided by New Look Laser College, and it was well beyond what I expect. The training was very informative, with a significant portion of hands-on training. The whole team from technical to marketing was knowledgable, relevant, personable, engaging, and just fun and enjoyable to be around! The owner breeds a wonderful culture within his organization and it shows and makes a significant impact on the efficacy of the training itself. I attended a weekend course and could not be more impressed with the thoughtfulness and thoroughness of the material. I would definitely recommended to any healthcare professional or similar looking to feel more confident with tattoo laser removal, specially with the lasers through their parent company. All of the staff members were extremely helpful, friendly and truly concerned about making sure each student is successful.
